How We Turned a One-Page Website Into a Lead-Generating Coaching Platform

The SoloBusiness Coach came to us with a bare-bones single page and no conversion pathways. We built a modern, high-performance site that showcases 45,000+ hours of coaching expertise — and it's already driving results.

Ron Gilliland has spent over 45,000 hours coaching business owners. He’s a certified Co-Active Coach with a background in organizational development and therapy — the kind of person who genuinely changes how entrepreneurs think about their businesses and their lives.

But his website didn’t reflect any of that.

When Ron came to us, SoloBusiness.coach was a simple, single-page website with almost no content. No service breakdowns. No pricing transparency. No clear way for a potential client to understand what Ron actually does, why he’s different, or how to take the next step. It was, essentially, a digital business card — and a thin one at that.

The Problem With “Just a Page”

A one-page website can work for some businesses. But for a coach like Ron, whose services are deeply personal and require trust before a prospect ever picks up the phone, a single page creates real problems:

  • No depth. Ron’s coaching spans business strategy, leadership development, personal energy management, and capacity building. None of that was visible.
  • No conversion pathways. There was no structured way to guide a visitor from curiosity to booking a call.
  • No search presence. With minimal content, the site had almost nothing for Google to index — making it invisible to people searching for business coaching in Corvallis or anywhere else.
  • No differentiation. 45,000 hours of experience, a therapy background, and a Co-Active coaching certification — none of these were working for Ron online.

What We Built

We designed a completely new website using our SmartSite package — a modern, high-performance site built on the Astro framework with no WordPress overhead.

Bold Design That Matches Ron’s Impact

Ron’s coaching style is direct, warm, and transformative. We designed the site to feel the same way. Large typography creates visual impact. Scroll-triggered animations highlight key data points and testimonials as the visitor moves through the page. The overall feeling is confident and forward-moving — exactly how Ron’s clients describe working with him.

Content That Builds Trust

We restructured Ron’s messaging around the problems his clients actually face: working unsustainable hours, struggling to delegate, hitting revenue ceilings they can’t break through alone. Each service area — business coaching, leadership development, energy management, capacity building — gets the space it needs to resonate with the right person.

An expanded FAQ section addresses the concerns that hold prospects back: “Is coaching right for me?” “What does a session look like?” “How long before I see results?” These are the questions people search for — and now Ron’s site answers them.

Clear Conversion Pathways

Every section of the new site guides visitors toward one action: booking a free 20-minute fit call. Pricing is transparent — from that initial free call to $295+ intensive sessions and custom monthly arrangements. Ron wanted people to know what to expect before they reach out, and the site delivers that clarity at every turn.

Performance That Scores

The new site scores nearly perfect 100s across all four Google PageSpeed Insights categories. That’s not vanity — fast load times directly affect search rankings, user experience, and conversion rates. No WordPress plugins slowing things down. No bloated themes. Just clean, fast HTML that works on every device.

Why This Matters for Ron’s Business

Ron’s coaching practice isn’t limited to Corvallis. He works with clients all over the world. But to reach those clients, his website needs to do more than exist — it needs to communicate expertise, build trust, and make it easy to take the next step.

The old site did none of that. The new site does all of it.

With structured content, proper SEO foundations, and a clear service hierarchy, the site is now positioned to rank for the searches that matter — terms like “business coaching for entrepreneurs,” “small business coach Corvallis,” and “solo business growth coaching.”

Looking Ahead

We’re excited to watch how this site performs over the coming months as it begins to index and rank. Ron’s depth of experience is now matched by a website that communicates it — and with the conversion pathways in place, we expect that experience to start translating directly into new client inquiries.

If your website isn’t reflecting the depth of what you actually do, it’s costing you clients you’ll never know about. That’s the business Ron was losing with a one-page site, and it’s a problem we see with service businesses every week.
